School Structure

For the academic year 2011/12 there are 286 pupils in the school.

The School is situated on a split site. The Junior School, located in the original NHP building (OB), comprises parallel classes from Reception to Year 3 (ages 4-8).

Up to Year 2 classes are divided by age (an older and a younger parallel class). At the end of Year 2 the classes are regrouped to create two new mixed age and ability classes.

The younger Reception class (Reception Cubs) provides a gentler start to school with the children attending five mornings and optional afternoons (maximum three) in the Autumn term, three fixed afternoons in the Spring term and full days in the Summer term.

The Middle School and Senior School, located in the new Jane Cameron building (JCB), comprise Years 4 to 8 (ages 9-13) – Years 4-6 (Middle School) and Years 7 and 8 (Senior School).

The school is divided into four houses: Arundel (green), Blenheim (yellow), Lansdowne (blue) and Elgin (red). Children are assigned to a house from Reception and members of a family join the same house. Each house has a pupil House Captain and a member of staff Head of House. House meetings are held once a fortnight and activities and charity events are organised by the children under the guidence of the Head of House. Interhouse competitions and matches are also organised.
