Each year, NHP nurtures five ducklings that stay in our Reception classrooms until they are old enough to look after themselves.
As the ducklings arrive at the very beginning of their lives, in egg form, our Lower School children learn how to create a suitable environment to help the ducklings thrive and grow. The process of caring for an animal teaches them to be kind and gentle, whilst also learning about the cycle of life in a real world setting.
