Notting Hill Prep Achieves NACE Challenge Award Accreditation

Categories: Uncategorised

We are delighted to share that Notting Hill Preparatory School has been awarded the NACE Challenge Award, a nationally recognised accreditation that places us among a select group of schools across the UK delivering exceptional provision for more able learners.

The NACE Challenge Award is part of the Challenge Development Programme, a framework built on over 35 years of expertise in the field. It marks high-quality, whole-school provision for more able learners and reflects not just what we offer our most able pupils, but the broader culture of ambition, curiosity and challenge that runs through everything we do at NHP.

Achieving this accreditation is no small undertaking. Schools must complete a detailed self-evaluation using the NACE Challenge Framework, submit a comprehensive portfolio of supporting evidence, and undergo a rigorous assessment by a NACE associate. That process includes examination of school data and key documents, lesson observations, and in-depth interviews with school leaders, pupils, parents and governors. We are proud that our provision has met this exacting standard.

The assessors noted a “confident and purposeful buzz to learning throughout the school,” observing that pupils demonstrate “enthusiasm, curiosity and increasing independence,” and are encouraged to “embrace difficulty and develop confidence in tackling unfamiliar or demanding work.” Parents, too, spoke highly of the school’s commitment to the whole child, valuing the balance between academic challenge, emotional wellbeing and personal development.

This achievement is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff, and the enthusiasm and talent of our pupils. We look forward to continuing this journey and building on our provision in the years ahead.
