What is an Independent School Bursary?
A bursary is a grant-based award that helps students cover financial needs while they pursue education. At Notting Hill Prep, we offer two types of bursaries:

With these bursaries, we can provide students from a wider range of backgrounds with access to top-quality preparatory education to build their future success. Our admissions team currently supports 11 students on bursaries at Notting Hill Prep, but by 2030, we want to increase that number to 15.
To date, all our bursary students have left with a scholarship or fully funded place at leading UK senior schools, such as:
- Charterhouse
- Rugby
- Dulwich College
- Godolphin and Latymer
- Westminster
- St. Edward’s
- The Harrodian

Who is Eligible for a Bursary?
Due to the limited number of places, our bursary awards are academically selective and means-tested. This helps ensure that the pupils who would benefit most are more likely to receive private school financial assistance.
Means-testing is a financial evaluation of your household used to determine eligibility for financial assistance. To be considered for one of our bursaries, your household income must not exceed £45,000 per year.

What Does Financial Assistance Cover?
We are committed to ensuring that every child has an equal experience at Notting Hill Prep, regardless of circumstances. The £20,000 annual cost for each child on a bursary covers tuition fees and helps ensure they do not miss out on crucial educational opportunities or full integration into life at Notting Hill Prep.
