The NHP community has shown remarkable generosity this month in support of our fundraising initiative for Burundi, with staff, parents and pupils coming together to make a meaningful difference.
Earlier this week, Chantal from the Burundi Education Foundation collected an outstanding range of donations, including NHP uniform, clothing, toys, puzzles, games, sanitary products and a wide variety of educational resources. We are also delighted to share that Ms Kirkland, our Head of Digital Learning, donated nine laptops, with further technology donations planned as equipment is upgraded in the future.
Special thanks go to Evie and the PA team for the time and care taken to sort and organise a large number of uniform donations. It is wonderful to know that outgrown NHP uniform will now help clothe children in Burundi. We are also grateful to Gaggi, Mr McCollin and Mr Jones, who generously gave their time to help load a full van of donations.
Reflecting on the impact of the support, Chantal shared how deeply moving it is to see families thousands of miles away helping to change the future of an entire community.
We will continue to update the NHP community as plans progress to build a new school from scratch in Burundi over the coming year.
